Alright, guys, I've been away for about an age.
Been busy-ish...
Finals and the like-
When I heard this song -> [link]
So I wanted to draw something epic that matched it.
And, I've always had it in my head this epic story about the Greek Gods.

You're wondering why Hermes is fighting Ares, since he's a Messenger God and not really deemed a fighter?

Well.

Hermes is the Trickster God.
And I feel like Ares would get annoyed with him. ALL THE TIME. Because Hermes would bother him. Lets be honest. Ares would be THE BEST to tease.
Eventually Ares would call a duel. And he would commission his brother Hephaestus to make a God-Killing Spear.
Hephaestus would make it, because he's afraid of Ares.
But Hermes would learn about it. And Hephaestus, liking Hermes more (because lets face it, everyone would prefer Hermes to Ares (except Aphrodite)), would give Hermes the spear, and Hermes would hide it.
So in this first duel, Ares would think he had the upper hand with this fake spear Hephaestus made in replacement for the God Killing spear.
And he would stab Hermes, and Hermes would just grin.
So Ares would hate Hermes, and hate Hephaestus, so he would go the next route.
Hades would have a God Killing sword. He would be the fail safe, if anything Zeus did was inevitably wrong (how did he end up with the worst job otherwise?)
Ares would capture Hades' love, Persephone, and trade for the sword, so he would go after Hermes with this sword.
And. That's basically it.
There is A LOT more to this. But... well, maybe I'll do more later. :D

The picture is awesome! And I like the story behind it. Especially considering Hephaestus would probably have a serious dislike of Ares any way, what with the whole Aphrodite being his wife and all.
